Ashlie K. Deal's Experience


Ms. Deal graduated from The George Washington University in 1996 with a BA in Criminal Justice and a Minor in Psychology. She then earned her Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 1999 and was selected for Who’s Who in American Law Students.
Ms. Deal’s experiences in building businesses from the initial conceptualization to operations for over 15 years and working for two Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustees has enabled her to be able to assist clients, from individual debtors to business owners prepare for and understand the processes of Chapters 7 and 13 bankruptcies, as well as advocate on behalf of clients with trustees, creditors and court personnel.
She paves the way for a clear and easily understandable approach to the entire process, albeit sometimes challenging road of financial stress and assists clients to overcome the fears associated with bankruptcy to obtain a fresh start.
Ms. Deal’s strong understanding of personal injury cases and working with clients who have been injured in automobile accidents and other types of accidents, enables her to take clients through the course to heal both from the medical and financial perspectives.
Ms. Deal is admitted to the NY and DC Bars. She has been a part of the New York Women’s Bar Association and has held numerous other board positions in community, civic and philanthropic organizations using her marketing and legal skills derived from her experience in assisting businesses and individuals with consulting and business development needs.
Before joining Mr. Ominsky to create the Law Offices of Marc A. Ominsky, Ms. Deal worked in NY with The Mayor’s Commission to Combat Police Corruption, and in NY and DC in finance and business consulting, performing contract reviews, anti-trust, patent prosecution work, litigation preparation, contract negotiation, lease review and in her spare time over the last 20 years has been involved with domestic violence and sexual assault advocacy work.
